"Sara and I have been together for 14 years and married for 9 years, so needless to say we’ve had multiple photo sessions ranging from destination, engagement, wedding, baby, and family shoots. So when Sara mentioned that it was time for another photo shoot, it brought up a multitude of thoughts and emotions such as; what to wear, where to have the shoot, and how much I’d be chasing the kids around trying to get a decent family shot? But after working with ChaseSkye, my initial concerns were muted, the family had a great time during the session, and most importantly, the family photos turned out amazing.
After our initial consult, we had a great feeling about this husband and wife team. They were very warm, personable, and excited about working with us. From there, they went to work planning out our session. Great pictures don’t just happen. A lot of planning goes into producing great pictures, so we were impressed with how much effort and pre-planning went into our shoot. Ashlynn really has an eye for colours and took the time to help us coordinate our family outfits. Jason has great vision with the photos he wants to capture. Together they planned out a great shoot location, had a list of shots, and where and when to specifically take those shots considering ideal lighting conditions. This helps keep the session flowing and organized because we all know that the kids have a finite time limit with taking pictures. They also gave us great direction. Not all of us have modelled in our previous careers, so having them show us examples of pictures and giving us positive feedback on body positioning, posture, and facial expressions; really helped focus our efforts in taking the best possible pictures. Plus, being parents themselves, they were great with our kids and made them feel comfortable enough to just relax and have fun with the shoot, even having treats on hand to help motivate my girls.
Ashlynn and Jason make a great team! We would recommend this power couple Photography team to anyone looking for a stress free, well planned out, family photo session. Together they made our family photo shoot fun and easy and the resulting quality pictures made it all worthwhile. Pre-planning, taking care of all the little details, and ensuring our family were well prepared; made for a very enjoyable experience for our whole family.
